What exactly is socialisation?
(Hint: It's NOT letting them constantly play with other dogs)
Socialisation is about your puppy having positive, low-stress experiences of the things she might meet in everyday life to help her to be comfortable and confident in our complex world.
There’s a lot to cover during socialisation
Your puppy needs to be comfortable with:
- all ages and types of people
- all sizes and shapes of dogs
- other animals
- different surfaces
- different noises , and
- different places
Come along to our fun Puppy Socialisation Practice sessions where your puppy can experience different people, things, surfaces, noises and play so you can give them the ideal start on their Perfect Pet journey.

The 6 weeks have flown. Eternally grateful to my mum for finding advert. You are a brilliant tutor and have taught Gizmo and me loads. Keep up the great work.
Carole / Gizmo / Chihuahua
Your sessions with Robbie when he was a pup really helped him set a good foundation of behaviour
Claire / Robbie / Cocker Spaniel
My puppy, Oscar was only 3 months when he started the training, but responded brilliantly thanks to Carol's excellent skills and knowledge. She's just such a clear and effective communicator and explains everything with great examples, stories and illustrations. We're so lucky to have the only Kennel Club accredited trainer in Ireland living on the Ards Peninsula.
Cathie / Oscar / Collie X
Thank you to you & Gareth for your visit to us yesterday. It was such a great help, and very reassuring to us as complete novices that the zoomies are not unique to our puppy. We really appreciated your patience and how long you stayed for. We will definitely be reading your book at the weekend! Teatime was much easier as the girls were able to keep the puppy constructively entertained while I was busy. We are all feeling much more confident and our puppy seems to be learning fast
